Dropsize

Compress images without uploading them anywhere

Most online image compressors send your photos to a server. Dropsize does not. Every image is compressed locally in your browser using WebAssembly — your files never leave your device, so there are no uploads, no waiting, and no privacy trade‑offs.

How it works

1. Pick one or more images from your device. 2. Choose a format (JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF), quality and optional resize. 3. Dropsize compresses everything on‑device and shows the before/after size. 4. Download individually or as a single .zip.

Why on‑device compression is better

Because nothing is uploaded, Dropsize works with sensitive images — ID documents, contracts, medical scans, private photos — without exposing them to any server. There is no file‑size cap imposed by an upload limit, and it stays fast even for large batches.

Formats and features

Compress and convert between JPG, PNG and WebP; export AVIF on the web for the smallest files. Resize by max width/height or percentage, keep or strip EXIF metadata (including GPS), batch‑process many images at once, and rename outputs with a prefix like “Trip_1, Trip_2…”.
